We all know that crops won't grow very well where the ground is really wet. By using tile, we can help you plant and grow in places you never thought possible. Many soils in the midwest have poor natural drainage systems. Many parts of Iowa used to be filled with swamps and bogs that are now farm land.
Tiling helps reduce the peak flood height in your fields. That means less standing water and better yields. By lowering the water table, the amount of water it takes to flood your crops increases making a more suitable environment for crop growth. Furthermore, lowering the water table helps promote root growth which makes your crops much healthier.
By lowering the water table, the soil above the tile becomes much dryer. This helps slow the water runoff and keeps your top soil in your fields instead of flowing down stream. Tile promotes infiltration which slows the water runoff from the land.
